About the Team
What started as just another fun day of treasure hunting ended with a seed planted to start a small business. Mom and daughter team began estate shopping long ago, before American Pickers. Their adventures in antique markets and thrift stores eventually led them to create their own small business. Marilyn, also known as "Grandma," already had experience selling shabby chic furniture at the Rose Bowl Antique Flea Market in the early 2000s.
Meanwhile, Sara had pursued her dream of becoming a fashion designer by earning a BFA in Fashion Design at Otis College and had spent years working for large fashion corporations. She worked at Roxy, Juicy Couture, Barbie, MGM Studios for Legally Blonde 3 just to name a few. However, when she became a mother, Sara decided to retire from corporate America to focus on raising her own daughter.
With their combined skills, knowledge, and experience, the mother and daughter team, along with the newest generation, has grown into a successful multi-generational female family business, driven by their passion for finding and repurposing unique vintage pieces for their customers to enjoy and wear for a lifetime.
Uncompromising quality, crafted with devotion.
Handcrafted investment clothing pieces are a great way to add a unique touch to your wardrobe while also making a long-term investment in quality fashion. Unlike trend-based clothing that quickly becomes outdated, investment clothing is made to last, with careful attention to detail and high-quality materials. Our pieces are made by skilled artisans who take great pride in their work, resulting in unique, one-of-a-kind designs that stand the test of time. Investment clothing is not trend-based; it can be worn year after year, making it a sustainable and eco-friendly choice. By investing in handcrafted pieces, you not only support independent artisans but also create a timeless and stylish wardrobe that reflects your particular taste and individuality.
We Like our clothing how we like people, Non-Toxic.
We are constantly striving to choose the most sustainable textiles whenever possible. What does that mean? We source our fabrics, garments, and materials from deadstock, vintage, end-use fabrics,
estate sales, and second-hand stores. If new materials are needed, we choose the kindest fabrications for our planet. These are organic fibers because it is easier for them to biodegrade or post-consumer recycled materials made from recycled plastics, for example.
Inclusive Sizing: Designing for Diversity & Body Positivity
Let's celebrate every shape and size; our collection is as unique as you. Our Collection pieces are slightly tailored to give the body shape while leaving room to be comfortable. Crafted thoughtfully to provide the body space to ebb and flow. When looking for vintage upcycled clothing, we try to find a variety of sizes. Inclusive sizing recognizes that women come in all shapes and sizes and that there is no one "right" way to look or feel beautiful. By celebrating diversity in fashion, we can promote body positivity and self-love, encouraging women to embrace their individuality and feel comfortable and confident in their skin. Inclusive sizing is not just about accommodating larger sizes but also creating options for petite, tall, and curvy women. Ultimately, the goal is to create a more inclusive and empowering fashion industry that celebrates and honors every woman's unique beauty. There is enough stress in everyday life, so let's leave the clothing sizing off the list.
